It's an open source program that will suprize you with the performance of it. It does most of what photoshop does in a professional way, of course it's not simple to get used to it, because it's very different than photoshop. It's worth to get used to it, and if you work independently, you can use this for commercial works, and it's still totally free. Link to a free download of the software:
